CCTV APPEAL: Police ask for help in identifying South Oxhey vandal

Published on: 23rd March 2022   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

Police in the Three Rivers area have released new CCTV footage of a suspect as part of a wider investigation into a series of crimes including criminal damage and arson that have plagued South Oxhey.

The same property, just off Green Lane, has been the victim of all three incidents, with the most recent involving a man throwing a can of red paint over the house.

The footage can be viewed online here.

Three Rivers Local Crime Unit’s Detective Constable Steve Mason said: “We have reason to believe the victim is being targeted and we have carried out extensive enquiries to try and trace who is responsible, but are now at a point in our investigation where we are releasing footage of the suspect in a bid to identify them.

“We appreciate that you cannot get a clear view of their face, but perhaps you may recognise their clothing or their gait?

“If you have any information which you think may assist our enquiries, then please get in touch as a matter of urgency.”

To report said information, contact Detective Constable Carly Fry via her email at carly.fry@herts.police.uk, or by using Hertfordshire Constabulary’s website or their online web chat.

You can also call the police’s non-emergency number 101, or the independent charity Crimestoppers phone number 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous. The charity also has a 100% anonymous reporting form on their website as well.
