CCTV appeal following theft in Bushey Heath

Published on: 10th May 2019   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

Officers have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to following a theft at the Tesco garage in High Road, Bushey Heath.

At around midday on Wednesday, April 17, the victim – a woman, attempted to withdraw money from the cash machine.

Her card was retained by the machine and when she spoke to her bank, they informed her that hundreds of pounds worth of her cash had been withdrawn from the machine.

It is believed that a device had been placed on the machine to take her card, and when the victim went to report the faulty machine to staff, the offender removed the device containing her card.

PC Gerard Handscombe, who is investigating, said: “We believe the man pictured was in the area at the time and he could have vital information about what happened.

“If you recognise him, please get in touch on the non-emergency number 101 or via email at gerard.handscombe@herts.pnn.police.uk quoting crime reference 41/35423/19.”
