A drug dealer from Bushey was handed a suspended sentence after he was caught with drugs in his car after asking police for directions.
Hinesh Gudka, of Claybury, was driving a Vauxhall Corsa in Watford when he was stopped by police on July 18, 2019.
When questioned Gudka said he was lost and looking for Garston Station.
However, officers then smelt cannabis in his car before carrying out a search.
A quantity of cannabis along with a mobile phone, linked to the supply of cannabis, was found in the car and he was arrested.
At St Albans Crown Count on May 5 Gudka admitted the charges before being sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for 12 months.
He was also ordered to carry out 80 hours unpaid work and to pay £722 in fines and costs.
Hertfordshire Constabulary confirmed the circumstances of Gudka’s arrest and the outcome in court.
