A man has been charged and remanded in connection with the theft of a motor vehicle in St Albans.
Aturas Bulka, aged 36, of Redgate, Thetford in Norfolk, was arrested on Friday, January 30, after a Porsche Macan was taken from outside a property in St Albans.
The incident occurred after the victim had parked their vehicle outside an address on Folly Avenue. At around 3am the next morning, they received a notification that the vehicle was moving.
Police attended Nashes Farm Lane where the vehicle was recovered by roads policing officers. Nearby, a man was quickly located by police and arrested. The 36-year-old was subsequently charged on Saturday, January 31, with the theft of a motor vehicle.
Bulka appeared at St Albans Magistrates’ Court where he was remanded into custody ahead of his next court appearance at St Albans Crown Court on Thursday, March 5.
