The Conservative and Labour parties have confirmed the candidates who will stand for the upcoming county council elections in May.
Conservative Watling councillor Caroline Clapper will stand again, as will Potters Bar West and Shenley councillor Morris Bright MBE.
Labour candidate Radhika Settipalli will stand against cllr Bright. Radhika has worked in a fintech company based in Borehamwood for 20 years.
In an announcement on Facebook on Monday, January 27, Hertsmere Conservatives said: “Cllr Caroline Clapper has represented Watling for nearly two decades, and she says it’s been the honour of her life.
“Caroline will continue to be a strong voice for Radlett, Aldenham and Elstree, ensuring our area remains a beautiful, sustainable and safe place to live for generations to come.”
A spokesperson for Labour for Hertsmere said: “Hertfordshire deserves better than the years of Conservative mismanagement. With gaps in funding for SEND, social care and vital services, the need for change has never been more urgent.”
