A primary school is kindly asking for wellies for the children’s outdoor learning activities.
St Peter’s Primary School in Mill End, Rickmansworth, are in full swing for developing its Forest School where children can learn in an outdoor environment.
The school is asking for unwanted wellington boots in any shape and size so children can use the outdoor space in all weathers.
The school said: “We believe the outdoor learning environment plays an important role in the curriculum, providing children with opportunities to experiment, explore, ask questions, make observations, solve problems and build theories in a natural environment.”
In the near future, the school is planning to work closer with Merchant Taylors’ School to use their grounds for Forest School.
All donations can be left in the School office for the attention of Mrs Selwood at Church Lane, Mill End, WD3 8HD.
