CAN YOU HELP? Police issue appeal for information after four reports of indecent exposure in Watford

Detectives investigating a series of indecent exposures in Watford are appealing for witnesses and information.

Since Sunday, December 5, police have received four reports of a white man indecently exposing himself, in and around the Cassiobury Park area. In some instances, the suspect was also seen to touch himself inappropriately. 

The offences occurred as follows:

  • Sunday, December 5, 2pm, near the park entrance in Rickmansworth Road (crime ref 41/96012/21)
  • Tuesday, December 7, 11.50am, alongside the canal (crime ref 41/95970/21)
  • Sunday, December 12, around 8.25am, alongside the canal (crime ref 41/97538/21)
  • Sunday, December 12, 8.20pm, near the Watford Central Library (crime ref 41/97538/21)

Detective Constable Marius Edghill, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “We fully understand that incidents of this nature will cause concern among the local community. I would like to reassure people that we are taking these reports very seriously and doing all we can to investigate.

“We’re still working to establish whether the offences are linked and to trace anyone who may be involved.

“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area around the times stated and saw a man acting suspiciously to please contact police. If you witness a similar incident, please dial 999 straight away.”
