Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) is developing an action plan for The Aquadrome to improve visitor experience and enhance wildlife at the popular 41-acre park.
The council are drawing up a Greenspace Action Plan (GAP) and are asking visitors to have their say on how the park can be improved.
Once the plan is drawn up and agreed upon, external funding will be sought to enable the plan to be delivered.
Councillor Sarah Nelmes, Leader of Three Rivers District Council, said: “The Aquadrome is one of the crowning glories of Three Rivers, treasured by residents and visitors alike. In recent years we have made some improvements, such as the new cafe building and toilet block, new boathouse and improved pathways. But we want to take a fresh look at the park as a whole, working closely with the park community, to make sure it functions as well as it can for both visitors and wildlife.”
TRDC are keen to hear about how they could improve: Better education for visitors, making the park more accessible, improved signage, more benches, improved picnic area, health and wellbeing activities, play area improvements.
Other key priorities for the Aquadrome include promoting biodiversity, managing flooding, enhancing the overall identity of the site, maintaining a strong relationship with the park community and making better use of the area around the café.
