An oral historian has recorded memories and stories from members of the local community at Chiltern Open Air Museum in Chalfont St Giles.
On Sunday, March 24, visitors to the museum were treated to a campfire heritage stories event. They toasted marshmallows and listened to evocative stories in the Northolt Barn. Community representatives also shared memories and stories from their family heritage.
Many of the stories were prompted by objects or words picked by the audience, including a suitcase, a colander, and a roll of Izal toilet paper.
The stories were captured by an oral historian and will become part of the museum archive.
