A grassroots football club are encouraging new members to join following their recent successful season.
David Howes, chairman of Pinner United FC (PUFC), said: “This has been a difficult season for most grassroots football clubs with the seemingly never-ending rain. Pitches have often been waterlogged or too wet to cut and line, which makes playing matches sometimes quite difficult.”
Despite these challenges, the club’s teams still managed to thrive throughout the season.
PUFC are now turning their attention to next season and are offering trials for players currently in Years 2 to 9 for next season’s Under 8s to Under 15s.
On top of this, 2024 is set to be a special anniversary year for the club.
David added: “April 2024 is our 30th birthday and we continue to have dads who played for the club in their youth bring their own children to the club, which is always gratifying!”
