Nine St Albans police officers and staff were presented with awards for their outstanding achievements on Wednesday, December 6.
Colleagues nominated their peers for awards in several different categories. The winners were given their awards by Herts Fire and Rescue Service Group Commander Sean Comerford at St Albans Police Station. Also in attendance were Deputy Lieutenant Akhtar Zaman, Dean of St Albans Jo Kelly-Moore, and Mayor of the City and District of St Albans councillor Anthony Rowlands.
PC Katy Porter received the 1836 Award for hard work and professionalism; David Allen and Charlotte Brown earned the Partnership Award; Detective Inspector Ady Lysak won the Leadership Award; and Detective Constable Krisztina Gulyas won the Crime Management Award.
Greg Foley was awarded the Volunteers Award; Rhea Hosey was given the Safer Neighbourhood and Community Safety Officer Award; PC Sarah Maitland-Lauderdale was the recipient of the St Albans Intervention Office Award; and PC Rob Clemmitt received the first Digital Communication Engagement Award.
