A Chorleywood resident is expressing concerns over a bus route in the village, that could be cut if not used.
Jocelyn Menyhart is a regular user of the 336 buses, which was implemented in early 2022 after the redirection of the 103 service. It allows residents to travel between Watford and Amersham, heading through Rickmansworth, Croxley Green, Watford and Bushey, and run hourly from Monday to Saturday.
But Jocelyn is sharing fears that the bus may be cut if not utilised enough, despite passing its year’s trial.
Speaking to ChorleywoodNews, Jocelyn said: “I fear that if more people do not use the bus, it will be considered ‘unprofitable’ and be cut from the route.
“The 336 bus can take you to Rickmansworth, Croxley Green, Watford, or Bushey. It now includes stops at Watford General Hospital, Watford Town Centre, and Morrisons.
“There is no need to park your car and it is better for the environment! The drivers are very friendly and polite and do all they can to stick to the timetable, which is quite difficult, especially when there are road works or problems on the M25!”
