Six people have been arrested following a swift response from officers in Watford.
Police were called just before 8.40pm yesterday (Monday, June 17) to a report of a robbery in Moss Road.
It is reported that a group of males assaulted the victim, before stealing his phone which contained a bank card. A knife was also believed to be seen.
Following fast-time enquiries, local officers, with assistance from armed police and the police helicopter, identified an address and located six suspects.
All individuals, aged between 15 and 23, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in police custody at this time. The mobile phone was recovered at the address.
Inspector Dan Jones, from the Watford Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “I hope these arrests provides reassurance to our communities as we understand the impact robbery can have on individuals and incidents like this can cause alarm to the public. Investigations are now underway to progress the case.”
