Police are appealing for information and witnesses after an assault occurred in Cassiobury Park on New Year’s Eve which led to an arrest.
Officers were called to reports of a stabbing in Watford’s Cassiobury Park yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, December 31) at around 3.30pm. The victim was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding (GBH) and remains in custody.
Detective Sergeant Andy Metselaar said: “If you were in the park around the time stated and have not already spoken to officers as part of our enquiries, please consider whether you noticed anything suspicious in the area around the time of the offence.
“We believe some Ferrari branded clothing, similar to the images shared, may have been discarded in the area and would ask that anyone walking in the park or in nearby Whippendell Woods looks out for these distinctive items. If anyone comes across such items they are asked not to touch them and call police immediately on 999.”
