A Pinner-based theatre company is inviting residents to their latest production.
From May 16 to 18, Pinner Players Theatre Company will present Mike Bartlett’s Albion.
Bartlett’s award-winning play is considered a post-Brexit commentary exploring the themes of love, loss and grief. It tells the story of Audrey, who is hellbent on restoring and rejuvenating the ruined garden of Albion to its former glory. As the garden blooms and wanes, so do Audrey’s relationships with her family, friends and neighbours.
The group staged Bartlett’s Love, Love, Love in 2015 and is excited to once again showcase the work of one of Britain’s most prolific playwrights.
Katherine Sayer, chairman of Pinner Players, said: “We are proud to present a diverse range of plays and it feels fitting that we finish our season with a recent and topical play like Albion, in contrast to the timeless Shakespeare we staged in November. We hope our audiences enjoy the variety too!”
