An Apsley resident was recently the victim of a bizarre theft on New Year’s Day, which was recorded on her Ring doorbell.
Sarah Ramsay, who lives on the Aspen Park estate near Manor Estate, had an unwelcome New Year surprise upon waking up. Her son’s school shoes, which had been left in a box and bag on her front doorstep, had been stolen.
The theft was captured on camera at 4.17am. The individual, who appears to be a male wearing a grey hoodie and a black rucksack, can be seen crawling on the floor to snatch the shoes.
Speaking to Kings News, Sarah said: “The video was so creepy, the way he climbed round the front of our house!
“In essence, a new pair of school shoes set me back £75 rather than the half price I bought it for, as I had to order again!”
Sarah has posted the footage on social media to raise awareness of the possibility of future thefts, adding that the individual was allegedly also heard trying car door handles.
