A brass band which has been based in Watford for 125 years is encouraging people to join their new development group.
Watford Brass Band is looking for beginners to join them in the new year to become part of their development group, Brass Beats.
The group has decided to set up the band as a way to build up the next generation of brass musicians and will be a great way to learn a new skill, make new friends and have fun.
Karen Dovey, who is involved in organising Brass Beats, said: “Playing in a band is a great experience; many will say it is great for mental health, meeting new people, being part of a community and is also rewarding when you get to perform at concerts.”
The band will rehearse in Bushey on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm to 7.15pm, starting from January 19.
