Published on: 14th October 2014   |   By: The Newsdesk   |   Category:

Sections of footway on a road in Kings Langley are to be replaced, the village’s county councillor has announced. Richard Roberts has recommended the work on Rockliffe Avenue to be carried out as a priority and is funding it from his locality budget scheme, a pot of money available to each county councillor to spend on their respective area. Engineers will be replacing various sections of worn out footway between October 20 and October 31 between 7.30am and 5pm. Sections of footway will be closed during these times in order to provide a safe environment for the  workforce and highway users. Engineers will endeavour to maintain access to properties or businesses.  Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times. Residents are asked not to park in the works area during the publicised dates and times. The work is weather dependent and from time to time unforeseen circumstances arise, any changes to the proposed start date, duration or working hours will be notified on the information boards at either end of the street or on our website www.hertsdirect.org/roadworks Questions or concerns regarding these specific works can be answered by email: herts.direct@hertscc.gov.uk or telephone 0300 123 4047.
