Residents and workers on a Watford road have been evacuated after the bomb disposal team were called in this morning. Hertfordshire Constabulary confirmed that the bomb disposal squad and officers were called to a field off Wiggenhall Road after a mortar was discovered. A phone call was put into the police at 8.37am reporting the item. A small number of workers were evacuated from a nearby industrial estate along with residents from near by properties. The incident is still ongoing and officers remain at the scene.
