The Batchworth Arena, a celebration including live music and food, is set to return at this year’s Batchworth Boat Rally.
After the popular Rickmansworth Canal Festival was cancelled last year, a group of local residents came together to hold a smaller event named the Batchworth Boat Rally. The Batchworth Arena predates the rally, having already served the old event for several years.
This year, volunteering parents of the local Sea Scouts will host the free event on Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18.
Featuring live music on Saturday and DJs on Sunday, alongside a full bar and BBQ, all of the event’s profits will go towards the Batchworth Sea Scouts.
Kelly Patterson, Batchworth Arena organiser, said: “2025 will be bigger and better than ever with a packed program on both Saturday and Sunday, you won’t want to miss it!”
The event will run from 12pm to 9pm on Saturday and from 12pm to 7pm on Sunday. The Four Horsemen, a popular local cover band, will headline on the Saturday.
Richard Patterson, chairman of Batchworth Sea Scouts, said: “The Batchworth Arena is a very important fundraiser for Batchworth Sea Scouts. The money raised last year has enabled us to buy equipment and give our young people fun and adventurous activities. It’s also the highlight of our community event calendar!”
