A musician from Kings Langley has launched an exciting new performance concept and has already started headlining in the town.
Bob Best thought up his Sound and Vision Gigs after visit to Abba Voyage, where fans can see bandmembers from the Swedish pop group as digital avatars.
Inspired by the show, Bob thought about bringing his music to life by playing along to the original music videos of songs.
Bob shared: “I have been a DJ all my life, even performing in Corfu. But now I wanted to do something new, something different. Everyone seems to be liking it.”
Some songs already performed by Bob include Billy Joel’s 1973 single Piano Man, where Bob duetted his careful piano playing with the musical icon’s singing.
Residents can see the concept in action at The Windmill Pub on Saturday, November 9 and as part of the Kings Langley Christmas Lights Festival, Bob will also be playing at The Old Palace on Saturday, November 23.
Though Bob has an eclectic mix of music in his setlist, people can request song performances.
Online, locals can watch videos of his performances on his Facebook at BEST Discos and Karaoke.
