Shenley resident Nathan Ash has become world champion for the second time at the World Championships Formula Junior division in Saalburg in Germany.
Winning the event which took place from Friday, August 30 to Sunday, September 1, Nathan picked up 126 points across the event, winning by a whopping 16 points.
The win caps off Nathan’s final season of his career at youth level.
On Nathan’s team’s racing account, a post was released which said: “Super well done to all those who raced in Juniors this weekend, it certainly was good fun, and the bar was raised further and further through friendly competition each day.”
Despite making the step up from Formula C to Formula J this season, the youngster was still able to claim the title which he first won in Sweden in 2022.
In all four of the F3 races that the teenager took on this season, he was the winner, making for a superb season for Nathan.
Despite a tough start to the campaign, which saw two of his engines blow up and two 3rd place finishes beforehand, Nathan was able to end the season in style with an engine used by Team Turnbull.
Nathan’s team said: “We can’t thank them enough, especially as every race and title Nathan’s ever won has been in their amazing crafts.”
