Croxley’s own young sporting star 16-year-old Ellie Harber is set to take her Muay Thai career to another level with her next bout.

After a title win in July and a silver medal at the World Youth Games in August, Ellie is now preparing for her professional-amateur competition debut at the Roar Show at Harrow Leisure Centre on November 5.

There, she’ll take on the current International Federation of Muaythai Associations world champion, Sude Nur Basanci of Turkey.

Ellie said, “I am excited to be moving up in my career and you can expect fireworks on the night. We are both tough and it will be a great fight.

“I am working hard in my fight camp and working with my coaches to be in the best shape for the night. It would be great, and I would appreciate it if CROXLEYnews readers came to support.”

Lyndon Knowles, Ellie’s Muay Thai coach, said, “This was the next step we were looking for Ellie. We believe that she can keep growing as a fighter and after winning a lot of junior titles it is great to see her start on semi-professional career.

“Fight camp will be hard, but Ellie and I have done this before, so we know that it important to do the right preparation.”

Ellie is currently looking for sponsorship to help continue her brilliant career. To do so, email emmaisichei@hotmail.com
