Barnet produced an exceptional performance to dump League One side Blackpool out of the FA Cup. The Bees dominated the game at The Hive as goals from Tom Champion and Curtis Weston earned the hosts a 2-0 win in the first round clash. Champion bundled home Curtis Weston’s in-swinging corner for his first goal of the season before Michael Gash headed in the second. Both goals came in the first half but despite being frustrated in the second half Barnet can be pleased with their success over higher league opposition. They now go into the hat for the second round with the possibility of a clash with a Premier League giant a reward if they progress.
