BAR ASSAULT: Man arrested after men injured in alleged assaults outside Watford Slug and Lettuce

A man has been arrested after two men were allegedly assaulted outside Slug and Lettuce in Watford High Street.

At around 9.20pm on Saturday, April 30, a man aged in his 30s was allegedly assaulted as he left the premises, causing him to fall to the ground. He sustained a cut to the back of his head.

At around 8.45pm on Sunday, April 15, a man aged in his 40s was allegedly assaulted as he left the premises, causing him to fall to the ground. He sustained a cut under his eye.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incidents and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue

PC C-Jay Callaghan, who is investigating, said: “A man has been arrested in connection with the investigations and our enquiries are continuing. As part of this, we’re keen to gather as many independent witness accounts as we can to assist us.

“If you were in the area at either of the times stated and saw what happened, or the events leading up to the incidents, please get in touch.”
