Police are investigating a serious assault which occurred in Bushey just before midnight on Saturday, November 29.
Officers were called by the ambulance service, who were treating a man in his 30s who had suffered serious injuries following an altercation with another man which began in Vu Lounge on the High Street.
The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Two arrests have now been made in relation to this incident:
• A man in his 20s, from Greater London, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
• A woman in her 30s, from Greater London, has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
They both remain in police custody at this time.
This appears to be an isolated incident and there is believed to be no risk to the wider public.
