Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Watford.

On the ground floor of the Sutton Car Park on Estcourt Road at 10.25am on Friday, July 26, a man aged in his 70s was assaulted.

The man was hit multiple times, causing bruising and cuts to his face.

PC Josh Gungum said: “This is a well-used car park on the edge of the town centre so I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened.

“As part of the ongoing investigation, I am keen to identify the individual pictured as they were in the area at the time and may have vital information.

“If you have any information that could help, please get in contact with me via email at joshua.gungum@herts.police.uk”

You can also report information online, speak to an operator in the Force Communications Room via the online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/62343/24.

Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form.
