An urgent appeal has been made to find three people who broke into a woman’s flat in Garston last month.
The appeal comes from Garry Warrell and Martin Picton (pictured above) after their aunt Sandra Renphry’s flat was burgled.
At approximately midday on June 17, CCTV captured one person making their way down the side of the property on The Brow and getting through the side gate.
The other two came down a short while later and disappeared into Sandra’s flat for two hours, eventually walking away with jewellery and cash.
Once they left the house, witnesses say a purple Seat was driven erratically away from the scene.
Garry said Sandra was scared senseless.
He said he and Martin are determined to catch these heartless burglars who ransacked the flat which his nana originally lived in. He also thinks the operation was a set-up.
He said: “These people absolutely ransacked my auntie’s flat and must have known she was away for the weekend because they spent two hours inside the home on a Sunday lunchtime. Nobody would carry out a burglary at that day and time.
“The way they left the place was disgusting and it’s been traumatic to my auntie who feels scared to be there.
“We need to make sure these people are caught. The good thing is that CCTV picked up one guy looking directly at the camera. Hopefully someone will know him or the others.”
Garry said a cash reward will be offered for any information that can lead to the capture of these criminals.
