Appeal for information following sexual exposure in Watford

Police investigating a sexual exposure in Watford are appealing for witnesses and information. The incident happened in Sheepcot Drive between 5pm and 5.45pm on Saturday, October 24. A 12-year-old girl was walking through an alleyway when a man walked passed her in the opposite direction. The girl turned to see where the man had gone and noticed he was now following her and had exposed himself. The girl ran off and the man made off in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his 30s and around 5ft 10in tall. He was wearing a dark grey hoodie and dark trousers. PC Leo Sale, who is investigating, said: “I appreciate this incident may cause concern in the community but I want to reassure people that we are fully investigating and doing all we can to trace this man. We are also providing full support to the victim. “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area around the times stated and thinks they may have seen a man matching this description to get in touch as soon as possible.” Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact PC Sale via the Hertfordshire Constabulary non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference C4/15/2458, or by email to leo.sale@herts.pnn.police.uk Alternatively, if you have any information about this incident you can contact the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through their Anonymous Online Form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
