Officers investigating a burglary in Watford are appealing for information and witnesses.

It happened in Courtlands Drive between 3pm and 7.30pm on Friday, January 18.

Offender(s) gained entry to the property via a rear window and stole a quantity of cash as well as items of gold jewellery.

Detective Constable Judith Muskett, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the offence to think back and recall whether they saw any suspicious activity in the vicinity.

“I would also urge people to watch out for people selling items of gold jewellery, perhaps online or via Facebook selling sites.”

Any witnesses or anyone with information should contact DC Muskett on judith.muskett@herts.pnn.police.uk or the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 41/5973/19. You can also report information online at herts.police.uk/Report or speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via online web chat.

Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org. For over 30 years, Crimestoppers has always kept its promise of anonymity to everyone who contacts them.
