A brand new £2.4million Hollywood Bowl has arrived and launched in true VIP style, befitting its Hollywood name.
The VIP launch party held on Thursday, January 24th and was attended by local families, businesses and social media influencers.
The party was hosted by Hollywood’s favourite actress, ‘Marilyn’, who cut the ribbon to officially launch the centre and posed for photos with guests.
The 23,600 square foot Hollywood Bowl opened its doors in December as part of the intu Watford retail and leisure complex’s £180million extension; creating 40 new jobs in the process.
It’s a destination for family, friends and work colleagues alike, whatever the occasion; the centre sits alongside other big named brands including IMAX Cineworld, TGI Fridays and Yo! Sushi.
The new centre’s 14 lanes are set against a striking backdrop, complete with plush furniture and contemporary American décor. It also hosts a Hollywood diner, serving gourmet burgers, hot dogs, freshly made thick shakes served into retro milk bottles, and signature desserts.
Alongside the diner is an American-styled bar that offers speciality cocktails, as well as two American pool tables for those wanting to sit back and relax before or after a game.
Hollywood Bowl’s famous amusements area features leading games such as Mario kart, crossy roads, cruis’n blast and retro games like space invaders and pacman hoops.
Centre manager for Hollywood Bowl, Abigail Harris said: “As the UK’s leading bowling company and we’re really excited to have opened a new centre at intu Watford.
“The feedback we’ve received from customers so far has been extremely positive; we can’t wait to welcome new customers yet to receive Hollywood Bowl experience.”
Hollywood Bowl is part of the Hollywood Bowl group; the UK’s leading 10 pin bowling business with 59 centres operating under the Hollywood Bowl and AMF Bowling brands.

The centre at intu Watford is the second Hollywood Bowl to open its doors in Watford and has joined the existing centre at Woodside Leisure Park in Garston.
