Watford FC have confirmed that Xisco Muñoz as their new head coach, after Vladimir Ivic was relieved of his duties last night after a disappointing result against Huddersfield.
The Spanish coach, who was previously at Georgian club Dinamo Tbilisi, will be straight into the action on Boxing Day, where they face league leaders Norwich City.
The club have confirmed that Muñoz will be joined by Roberto Cuesta as assistant coach.
On the club’s website, they confirmed: “Watford FC are pleased to confirm the appointment of Xisco Muñoz as head coach. The 40-year-old Spaniard, with an attacking philosophy, was most recently manager at Dinamo Tbilisi, where he guided the club to a successive Georgian league title in 2020.”
