AND… ACTION: Filmmaker from Amersham nominated for young entrepreneur award

Published on: 8th September 2021   |   By: Jake Levison   |   Category: Uncategorized

A video producer and director from Amersham has been nominated for the Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2021 award in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards (GBEA).

Natalie Hodgins (pictured centre), 24, launched Visionary Pictures alongside partner Brock Elwick in December last year.

The video production company aims to connect businesses with their audience in a way that forms long-lasting relationships.

Natalie and Brock use their experience in the media industry to help clients create mentally healthy environments, sustainable video shoots and provide support for those starting out in their film and TV careers.

The pair were thrilled to be jointly nominated for the South East Entrepreneur of the Year award out of 5,000 entries.

They will be competing with six fellow nominees for the win during the GBEA ceremony on November 22.

Natalie told AMERSHAMnews: “I’m so grateful that we’re getting some recognition for the work we’re doing, because we know how important it is.

“This industry is known to neglect workers’ mental health, so the focus of our work is very much on the wellbeing of everyone behind projects, from the crew to the actors.

“Another focus has been on support for crew members and actors with disabilities. These are vital matters in our industry which have needed more attention for a long time.”
