A man from Nash Mills says action needs to be taken on Red Lion Lane before a serious accident takes place.
Karl Burn uses the road which has parked vehicles on both sides and he said something needs to be done now before it is too late.
He explained: “It’s a road I use regularly and I felt it was becoming dangerous. When you’re driving up from the Nash Mills end, you are regularly faced with traffic coming head on at you. I was going up there and some guy was hurtling towards me. I was pushed so far into the middle of the road and I had nowhere to go.”
Paul said he believes there are a number of reasons for the current situation
He said: “The developers of the new estate round the corner only allocated one parking space per resident but, within the estate, they put in parking restrictions so the only option for people who live there is to park on Red Lion Lane or the surrounding area. The developers have not made enough provision.
“As the weather improves, there are a lot of teenagers who are out and about. Nothing about it seems safe and it’s an accident waiting to happen.”
