Six of Harrow’s parks and green spaces, including Pinner Memorial Park, have been awarded Green Flag Awards.
The Green Flag Award scheme recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces.
Pinner Memorial Park is a pillar in the Harrow community and houses a bowling green, duck pond, a small aviary and an ornamental Peace Garden.
Councillor Anjana Patel, cabinet member for environment and community safety, said: “I know a lot of work has taken place behind the scenes to attain these six Green Flag Awards – in fact we made this one of our key flagship actions.
“I’d like to thank residents who volunteer their time in Park User Groups and everyone else who has been involved in achieving this – it is a testament to ensure residents can enjoy using our high-quality parks.”
Pinner South Safer Neighbourhood team headed to social media and said: “Congratulations to Harrow Council and Pinner Association volunteers and everyone who helps to keep the park an attractive, clean and safe environment for all its users.”
