Northwood School celebrated Black History Month by decorating their canteen with students’ fantastic artwork.
The school, located on Pinner Road, Northwood, were very active in Black History Month, which took place across October.
The month, which has been celebrated in the UK for more than 40 years, was originally founded to recognise the contributions that people of African and Caribbean backgrounds have made to the UK over many generations.
Now, Black History Month has expanded to include the history of not just African and Caribbean people but black people in general.
Northwood School launched their own version of the month by running form time activities and house competitions to make sure students were involved and celebrating.
By the end of the month, the canteen was laced in Black History displays created by pupils.
