A 12-year-old boy was injured after houses across Little Chalfont and Amersham were targeted by burglars.
Thames Valley Police are investigating after a number of aggravated burglaries occurred in Roundwood Road, Amersham, and Chessfield Park, Little Chalfont, between 7.30pm and 8.30pm on Thursday, October 31.
Between three and five offenders, who were armed with unknown weapons, travelled to the targeted properties via car. Gold and money were stolen from the properties.
Though the victim suffered minor head injuries, no other people were injured.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Molly Dugmore, of Buckinghamshire’s Priority Crime Team, said: “I would like to reassure the residents of Buckinghamshire that we take all reports of aggravated burglaries very seriously, and enquires are ongoing to identify those responsible.
“We encourage residents to ensure all doors and windows are locked before leaving the house, to keep bags and keys away from letterboxes and cat/dog flaps, and to use a timer to automatically turn the lights on when you’re not at home. For more crime prevention advice, please see our website.”
