An estate agent who has worked in Pinner for over 18 years has made a resolution to raise a four figure sum for charity this year. Adam Stimpson, who is the sales manager of Gibbs Gillespie in the High Street, has set a goal of more than £1,000 for Cancer Research UK by the end of 2016. Adam, who lives in Northwood, explained the motivation behind his charitable commitment. He said: “Someone close to me has a family member with cancer and I can see firsthand the effects it has on everybody involved. So I decided I wanted to do something which helps sufferers and Cancer Research UK certainly does that. “On Sunday January 31 I ran the London Winter Run 10K. I’ve been training hard during the cold winter mornings and was delighted to run a personal best of 52 minutes and 27 seconds.” The run started in Trafalgar Square and took in some of the capital’s greatest landmarks including St Paul’s Cathedral. Last year Adam took part in a London to Brighton bike ride for charity. It was this event that inspired him to commit to raising more during 2016. He added: “Having completed the 10K run I’m planning another couple of bike rides to get me past my fund raising target. “It’s a great way to stay motivated to keep fit and help others at the same time.” To sponsor Adam visit http://www.justgiving.com/owner-email/pleasesponsor/Adam-Stimpson1
