AFTERNOON TEA: Pinner Museum hosts annual summer garden party to thank volunteers

Nearly 100 guests attended the annual Heath Robinson Museum Friends’ Garden Party last month.

On Sunday, June 23, the Friends of the Heath Robinson Museum welcomed guests to Pinner Memorial Park to enjoy afternoon tea and great company. The party aims to thank volunteers and the Friends, who provide support to the museum via their annual membership.

As well as afternoon tea, guests enjoyed the large wildlife pond, lawns, tennis court, and even a Victorian pigsty. There was also a raffle to help raise money for the group and its community events.

Ruth McNeil, chair of the Friends, said: “We were so lucky with the weather and pleased so many came to enjoy the garden party again this year; people chatted to old friends and made new acquaintances, just how it should be at a relaxed garden party.

“Our thanks to all who helped make it such a lovely and special event.”
