Several instances of fly tipping have recently been spotted around Croxley.
Laura Balderstone was walking through land between the Newlands Spring trail and Whippendell Wood on Tuesday, June 27, when she came across a large amount of fly tipped rubbish.
Then, on June 30, Laura Dixon posted an image on Facebook of fly tipping that had been found in another part of the wood.
Alongside the post, Laura said: “It’s utterly disgusting, and so upsetting that people think this is okay to do! It’s getting so very bad.”
A Three Rivers District Council spokesperson said: “The council investigates all instances of fly tipping and takes appropriate follow-up action, such as the issuing of Fixed Penalty Notices or prosecuting offenders, when the source or the perpetrator of the fly tip can be identified.
“If anyone spots a fly tip, then we ask that they please report it to the council for investigation. It is really important that residents disposing of their waste ensure they are using a licensed waste carrier.
“You can find out more here.”
