A St Albans based netball club is appealing for new coaches to join their friendly club as membership continues to thrive after the pandemic.
Abbey Flyers was first formed as a junior netball club in 2007 and has since grown to over 200 active members and in 2017 merged with senior netball club Nomads.
Now the Abbey Flyers Nomads Netball Club (AFNNC) has teams ranging from Year 5 right the way through to adult teams.
Abi Pask, chair person, said: “We are extremely proud of the fact that we have been able to satisfy so many different playing abilities. We celebrate every success within our club, whether that’s a player who has returned to play netball after a break of several years, or, our junior regional players successfully trialling for the local Superleague teams Saracens Mavericks and London Pulse.”
One parent praised the club stating: “Joining Abbey Flyers has been the best thing my daughter has done this year.”
The club are currently looking for more coaches, whether you are a qualified netball coach or keen to learn you can email them at abbeyflyersnomadsnetballclub@gmail.com for more information.
