More than 500 people have signed a petition calling for a safer cycling route alongside a busy country road.
The ePetition is for a cycleway to be built from Wendover to Chalfont St Peter alongside the busy A413.
Residents have signed the petition highlighting the problems caused for local cyclists by HS2 roadworks.
Dennis Keeling, who lives in Great Missenden and is a keen cyclist started the petition on the Buckinghamshire Council website saying he would like to see a safe cycleway alongside the busy road
The ePetition, which is now closed, read: “We the undersigned petition the council to create a safe cycleway alongside the busy A413 from Wendover to Chalfont St Peter.
“With the increased heavy vehicle usage along the A413 due to HS2 works there needs to be a safer way of cycling along this very busy road.
“A cycleway running nearby the busy trunk road would separate cyclists from the heavy traffic.”
