Croxley-based rugby club Chess Valley RFC will be celebrating its 25th anniversary this season and are inviting the community to join in with celebrations.
The club based at Croxley Guild of Sport will be hosting an Open Day on September 11 to kick off the season and invite new players to join them.
With pre-season training underway Brian Reilly, head coach at Chess Valley RFC said the Open Day will be an event to be enjoyed by all.
He said: “This season Chess Valley is celebrating its 25th anniversary, with lots of activities planned throughout the year to mark the occasion.
“Preseason training is already in full swing for all age groups. The season starts proper with our Open Day on Saturday, September 11. The senior side will be playing a friendly fixture and there will be activities and fun for all ages with an opportunity to join in. Everyone is welcome to come along and say hello, there will be a barbecue and live music (not to mention our fully licensed bar).
“If you fancy joining us as a player, supporter or volunteer then do get in touch. It doesn’t matter whether you are six or 60 we’d love to have you onboard.”
