Two local teens spent 24 hours living in their respective parents’ cars to raise money NHS Charities Together.
Yavneh College students Sasha Rabinowitz, from Radlett and Oz Hammermen, from Borehamwood, both 14, spent an entire day and night living in the cars – that included eating, sleeping, studying online and fundraising for the NHS staff on the front lines of the pandemic battle.
They started on Thursday, May 14 at 8pm at the same time as the clap for the NHS.
They had already raised nearly £800 halfway through the challenge, and their grand total now sits at a whopping £1,200.
Sasha and Oz said: “We are two children who can barely grasp the gravity of this situation. Lockdown is also taking its toll. The only thing we can tell for sure is that this situation is bad and people need our help.
“This is why we decided to try and do something creative to raise money for people that need it more than we do.”
The donation page is still open.
