Kings Langley Players are set to return to the stage this winter after a year off due to the pandemic.
The popular village theatre group will put on their production on the Wizard of Oz between December 8 and December 11.
Andrew Knight, director, said the group chose to put on the Wizard of Oz as it is a classic loved by all, perfect for their first show back.
He said: “We had a meeting about what was the best show to put on and decided on the Wizard of Oz as it’s a classic, everyone knows it.”
Andrew added that the whole cast is over the moon to be back together with rehearsals underway.
He said: “The shows are your life, you spend a lot of time doing them. You get into a routine and it’s strange not having it look forward to.
“There’s a good buzz about it, we’ve got a good cast and everyone is looking forward to it.”
