Croxley Green Community Choir (CGCC) recently welcomed a world-leading vocalist, composer and choir director into their ranks.

On Thursday, March 13, Joanna Forbes L’Estrange joined the choir at their rehearsals in St Oswald’s Church.

Joanna is the mastermind behind A Season to Sing, a choral re-imagining of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons to mark its 300th anniversary in 2025. The initiative was co-commissioned by 55 choirs around the world, including CGCC.

Under the direction of choir master Gerry O’Beirne at Holy Rood Church in Watford, the group performed A Season to Sing on Wednesday, April 2.

The event raised money for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care and the St Vincent de Paul Society.

Sadly, Joanna did not attend the concert as she was conducting the Sydney Philharmonia.

The choir rehearses at 7.30pm on Thursdays during term time at St Oswald’s Church, and new members are welcome.
