A volunteer at Leavesden junior parkrun (LJP) has been congratulated after volunteering for the event 250 times.

In a post on Facebook on Sunday, January 26, LJP congratulated Susie Arbon for her services to the parkrun after hitting the incredible landmark.

The group said: “Thank you to the 28 volunteers who made today’s LJP possible. I am very grateful to you all for your help in making today go so smoothly.

“Particular mention for Susie Arbon who was volunteering for the 251st time today, having achieved the 250 milestone at Leavesden Country parkrun on Saturday. It’s a wonderful achievement.”

The group also welcomed new run director Philippa Cass to the team.
