Britain’s Got Talent legend, sausage-lover and football fanatic Yolo the dog has raised more than £600 for limbless veteran charity Blesma.
Having already completed a range of dog shows in the summer and winning a rosette in each one, Yolo took on the Remembrance 11km walk from Croxley to Rickmansworth Aquadrome on Saturday, November 9, with her owner Tracey.
Much to the joy of passers-by, the 12-year-old pooch at times hitched a ride in her buggy which was decorated with a sign for the charity.
Speaking to CROXLEYnews, Tracey said: “Blesma is close to my heart as I had family members in the military and my second cousin is currently living with PTSD. We owe a lot to these people.
“Everyone was so generous; I didn’t expect to even get £100.”
With the generosity of family, friends, fellow dog walkers and neighbours, as well as a few unexpected people along the way, the pair raised £600 which will go towards providing financial and emotional support for veterans and their families.
Tracey shared: “Thank you to everyone who generously donated. [Yolo] hit her target and it was great to meet people donating on the spot.”
