A 63-year-old women has been arrested in connection with the rape of a 21-year-old in Watford on Sunday, April 21.
Hertfordshire Constabulary have confirmed to MyNews that this is in relation to the investigation of suspected rapist Joseph McCann.
The 63-year-old, from Aylesbury, was arrested at an address in the town on suspicion of the intimidation of a witnesses.
She has been released on bail, pending further enquires.
Both the Met Police and Hertfordshire Constabulary are still hunting for Joseph McCann who is wanted in connection with the abduction and rape of three women in Watford and North London.
A £20,000 reward has been issued by the Met by anyone who has information which will lead to his address.
Scotland Yard named a wanted man in connection with their inquiry as 34-year-old McCann (pictured), who speaks with a slight Irish accent and uses false names including Joel.
McCann is also reported to have a distinctive tattoo of the name ‘Bobbie’ on his stomach.
