Watford Mayor Peter Taylor has praised Anytime Fitness Croxley Park as ‘sparkling clean’ following a visit on Saturday, July 18.

Peter was shown round the gym, located in Croxley Business Park, by owner Peter Chapman and Anytime Fitness UK CEO, Neil Randall, as gyms and the wider fitness sector eagerly await the opportunity to reopen their doors on July 25.

Demonstrating the tireless work the gym has done during the lockdown to make it safe for its members’ return, Peter Taylor was shown first-hand the increased health and safety measures put in place including the distancing of equipment, increased sanitisation stations, ventilation and extra cleaning protocols.

With all members accessing the club via a unique keyfob issued to them, the club will have an effective Track and Trace system in the unfortunate event of any COVID-19 cases breaking out among their members.

The club also shared what its been doing during lockdown to support its members including the provision of daily virtual classes, individual workout advice and access to the Anytime Workouts app which has over 1,100 workouts for users to try.

“Lockdown has undoubtedly been a tough time but it was great to be able to show Peter the work we’ve been doing,” said Anytime Fitness Croxley Park owner Peter Chapman. “The staff here have been fantastic throughout this difficult time and as a community-orientated gym, we can’t wait to welcome our members back to both a safe and welcoming environment once again.”

Also in attendance was Anytime Fitness UK CEO Neil Randall who was glowing with praise for the work done by Anytime Fitness Croxley Park and its wider network of over 165 gyms across the UK.

“One of the main things we’ve continued to see during lockdown is our clubs’ genuine passion and consideration for their members,” said Neil. “Peter Chapman and his team are a shining example of how hard our gyms have been working to ensure both staff and members are kept safe when we reopen this weekend.”

As a two-floor, 7,500 sq. ft. site, the spacious gym is able to accommodate members safely and allow them to feel comfortable in adhering to social distancing measures while working out.

To ease people back into the gym and feel comfortable in their new surroundings, it is offering half-price day passes throughout August.
